            In this issue we either see or get a reference to all seven of the main Justice League members in one shape or another. We start the issue with Barry Allen in the Central City crime lab where he’s getting told he needs to stop working on actual crime & instead needs to work on finding out who the Flash is. After that we go back to the Superman, Green Lantern, & Batman confrontation, which honestly besides the splash pages was kind of boring, especially the splash page of Superman breaking the green light construct chain in a resemblance to the cover of Superman 233. Green Lantern ends up calling in back up from his friend the Flash who is Barry Allen, & once all things are settled with Superman Green Lantern ends up blowing the Flash’s secret identity. Also in this issue we find out that the Flash & Green Lantern have worked together prior to this issue, and are both aware of each others secret identities. Batman calms everyone down, & Superman mentions that he really only attacked them in the first place because they also had that weird box the Parademon had (because it totally didn’t have anything to do with Green Lantern antagonizing Superman in the first issue, nope can’t be that). Mean while over with the Stone family Victor Stone’s father is an asshole that hates that his son is a jock, and that’s why he wont go to a football game so his son can get a full scholarship to any University by playing football. At least this wont be a issue for long since those boxes end up being a boomtube and Victor gets blown the shit up (I guess we now know how Victor got all messed up in the DCnU, which caused him to be made into Cyborg). After that we get this nice little interview between Amada Waller & Steve Trevor where it makes reference to Wonder Woman, the Amazons, & Aquaman.

            My primary problem with this issue has to be the dialog, it is very sloppy, I also have a problem with the way some of the characters are characterized.  But on the upside there was a lot of groundwork for future issues. I’m not going to recommend this issue, but then again I’ve been having a hard time recommending a lot of the second issue of the new 52. The next issue of Justice League is out on November 16, 2011 so see you all then.
